Prêmio Culturas Populares
O Ministério da Cultura, por meio da Secretaria da Identidade e Diversidade Cultural (SID/MinC), publicou na quarta-feira, 3 de fevereiro, a lista dos selecionados no Concurso Público Prêmio Culturas Populares 2009 – Edição Mestra Dona Isabel, no Diário Oficial da União (Seção 3 págs. 10 a 13).
A premiação contemplará 195 representantes das culturas populares brasileiras, entres mestres e representantes de grupos/comunidades informais e formais, com um investimentos de cerca de R$ 2 milhões.
A artesã ceramista do Vale do Jequitinhonha, Dona Isabel Mendes da Cunha, é a grande homenageada desta edição. No total, foram inscritos 2.833 projetos; e habilitados 2.308. As iniciativas vieram de todo o país: 51% da Região Nordeste; 30% do Sudeste; 8% do Sul; 7% do Norte e 4% do Centro-Oeste.
Em relação às categorias, 1.159 projetos foram de Mestres; 872 de integrantes de Grupos/Comunidades Informais e 277 de integrantes de Grupos/Comunidades Formais.
