26º Prêmio Design MCB
Inscrições abertas para o 26° Prêmio Design Museu da Casa Brasileira. A Secretaria de Estado da Cultura e o Museu da Casa Brasileira abrem até 22 de agosto as inscrições para o Prêmio Design MCB, concurso que anualmente incentiva o fortalecimento e a disseminação do design nacional.
A premiação é uma das ações mais tradicionais de incentivo à produção independente de vanguarda realizadas pela Secretaria de Estado da Cultura em diversas linguagens. Segundo a diretora geral do Museu da Casa Brasileira, Miriam Lerner, o Prêmio reflete a trajetória da consolidação da identidade do design brasileiro e desfruta de grande prestígio no segmento, conquistado ao longo de seus 26 anos de existência.
O concurso desafia profissionais, estudantes, estúdios e empresas produtoras, em oito categorias. Sete delas são destinadas ao design de produto e possuem sua respectiva modalidade protótipo, reservada aos projetos em estágio de mock-up ou desenvolvimento: Mobiliário, Utensílios, Iluminação, Têxteis, Equipamentos eletroeletrônicos, Equipamentos de construção e Equipamentos de transporte. A oitava categoria, Trabalhos Escritos Publicados, e sua modalidade, Trabalhos Escritos não Publicados, valorizam a produção teórica ligada ao design gráfico, de produto, arquitetura, urbanismo e paisagismo.
Os projetos de profissionais e estudantes serão analisados por uma comissão julgadora independente, formada por profissionais e acadêmicos da área, que elegerão os produtos e protótipos finalistas e premiados de 2012. Entre os critérios de avaliação estão originalidade, concepção formal, inovação tecnológica, adequação ao mercado, viabilidade industrial, segurança e proteção ambiental. O valor da premiação para o primeiro lugar é de R$ 6.000 para cada categoria e de R$ 2.000 para cada modalidade protótipo.
O resultado final, que propõe um panorama da produção nacional, poderá ser conferido na exposição 26º Prêmio Design MCB, em cartaz no Museu a partir de 22 de novembro, data em que será realizada a cerimônia pública de premiação em homenagem aos vencedores.
Bolsa de estudos
Em virtude do sucesso da ação em 2011, a Secretaria da Cultura e o Museu da Casa Brasileira, em parceria com a Domus Academy, voltam a oferecer uma bolsa de estudos em um curso de verão de design, entre junho e agosto de 2013, na Domus Academy ou na Nuova Accademia Belle Arti Milano (NABA), em Milão. A seleção acontecerá por meio de sorteio entre os finalistas e premiados do 26º Prêmio que se candidatarem. A passagem aérea ida/volta São Paulo/Milão também faz parte da ação.
Reconhecida internacionalmente, a Domus Academy se impôs como a primeira escola de pós-graduação em design no mundo. Foi considerada uma das 30 melhores pela Business Week.

Interessados devem se inscrever a partir do dia 1º de agosto no site www.mcb.org.br/pd, onde estará disponível o regulamento da edição. O valor da taxa de inscrição é de R$60,00, a ser paga até 24 de agosto.
